Ibudhou Wangbrel Khana Chaoba Sanglen, Mayang Imphal.

This sacred place is in ruins as there was a flash flood. The massive torrential flow of monsoon rain water along the Imphal River broke open the bank of the river at this very site(see the background). Its said that a sacred godly fish (a big fish) came up to this point along the river during the festive season of Ibudhou at this sacred site. However, two or three persons tried to catch or kill it, as it is said, with guns. This terrible insult to the god/sacred fish led to its wrath, resulting in a devastating embankment breach, and widespread flash-flood. Two of those very persons died after a few days of unknown diagnosis. And, huge loss of properties took place.
However, this sacred site itself remains unharmed. The little damage as seen in the background seems to have been done by flood mitigation works rather than the flash flood itself.
