People don't trust the administration, nor the political parties, neither the judicial system. So they have made it a necessity to create informal friend circles and secretive partners-in-crime to mutually protect and support each other at times of needs. And when the time comes, these people behave as either a flock of sheep or a pack of wolves, and fight with the other pack or flock, with no regards for law or ethics. The stronger pack or flock wins. The trust on the constitutional babus and milords and mantrijis are totally absent. And the public are not to be blamed. Its all because how it all began in the past. And the previous and present generations have inherited it with cascading effects. One flaw exploited by one individual will lead to more individuals exploiting the same flaw as well as other possible flaws that might exist. And when the reaction backfires, they just embrace the temporary short term immediate solutions possible, even if it could prove fatal in the long run. Such is the rowdy and corrupt behavior of the previous and the present generations of the Indian society.
And it is rightly said that to earn back the lost trust is almost impossible. So is the same with the trust of the people. Nobody expects a node of the government to be functioning sincerely. So they are always looking for the 'backdoor' access to the services provided. The people who trust on the system are disappointed. Many of them will gradually fall away form the line and start the search for the backdoor access. That's what is exactly happening right now in our society. These days, one can't even trust the so called higher class and higher socially and educationally situated people that the question of putting the blame on the common people doesn't even arise. The people are always suspecting 'bonafide' wrong interventions in any public service they go through, especially those that belong to the government. Government is not the disease but the sick functionaries who are in disguise within, who eat the society from inside. Even then, its such a childish assumption that the government will guide the people.
Instead, the government must simultaneously find ways to continuously remedy itself of these diseases or to keep a check on their spread. Until that happens, the society is not going to be descent anytime soon. And for those who don't know, it is the well connected and well-off people who sponsor such diseases. So next time, don't scold the uneducated and simple folks who don't follow rules, rather set an example yourself so they may gradually come to follow it someday or the other.
